Privacy Policy

By default, conversation history, files you ask Talos to read or write, skills, and configuration settings are stored locally on your device. You can remove this data by uninstalling the application or deleting it manually. It is not automatically uploaded to our servers.

• Account information: identifying information required to register and sign in;
• Billing information: credit balances, usage records, and order status. Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers, and we do not store your payment card number;
• Data transmitted through our gateway: when you use built-in credits, the content of your request is relayed through our gateway to the model service provider you select so that we can fulfill the request and process billing. We do not use the content of your conversations to train models, and we do not sell your data;
• Website analytics: taloswork.ai uses a self-hosted analytics service (Umami) to collect anonymized visit data, including pages viewed, referral sources, and approximate geographic location. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or engage in cross-site tracking;
• Desktop app usage statistics: the Talos desktop app sends anonymous usage statistics to our own servers (app version, operating system, launch and feature-usage counts, error categories) so we can understand version adoption and stability. Statistics are grouped under a randomly generated anonymous installation identifier and never include conversation content, file names, paths, account details, or IP addresses. Raw records are kept for 90 days. You can turn statistics off or reset the anonymous identifier in the app settings.

If you provide your own API key, requests are sent directly from your device to the relevant model service provider and do not pass through our servers. The API key is stored only on your device.

We use the information described above only to provide and maintain the Services, relay requests and process billing, prevent abuse and security incidents, improve the product using aggregated statistics rather than conversation content, and comply with legal obligations.

To fulfill your requests, relevant data is provided as necessary to the model service provider you select (subject to that provider's privacy policy), payment service providers (to process payments), and cloud infrastructure providers (to host our gateway and distribute installation packages). Other than these disclosures, we do not share your personal information with any third party unless required by law.

Account and billing records are retained for as long as your account remains active. After account closure, they are retained for the minimum period required by law and then deleted. Data is transmitted over encrypted channels. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect server-side data, but please understand that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You may access and correct your account information, or request account closure and deletion of the associated data. You retain direct control over data stored on your device at all times. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address at the bottom of this page.

The Services are intended for adults. If we learn that we have collected a minor's personal information without the consent of their parent or guardian, we will delete it as soon as practicable.

Our servers are hosted in locations including Hong Kong SAR. Installation packages and static website assets are delivered through content distribution nodes in mainland China. By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to data being processed in these locations.

When this Policy is updated, we will post the new effective date on this page and provide additional notice of material changes.
